Her passion for designing elegant and enduring gardens while maintaining harmony within the natural landscape provides the framework in which design solutions are approached. With an unyielding commitment to detail, every aspect of Landscape Architecture is addressed, instilling a seamless relationship between structure and nature.
Kris’ experience expands into virtually all areas of Landscape Architecture with a particular emphasis on Estate Residential and Pool and Spa Design. After graduating from U.C. Davis with a degree in Landscape Architecture, Kris worked exclusively on Estate Residential and International Resort Design for nearly fourteen years. This tremendous experience provided a smooth transition for launching her own successful business almost twelve years ago. Since then, Kris E. Kimpel Landscape Architecture has remained dedicated to the design process and fulfillment of vision thereby producing successful, sensitive, and spectacular projects at all scales.
As an experienced Landscape Architect, Kris is actively involved in community Landscape Architecture affairs. She is a recipient of the Santa Barbara Beautiful Award, has served on the board of Santa Barbara Historical Landmarks, and is currently a commissioner for the Hope Ranch Architectural Board of Review, a position she has held since 2001.
